Australian Nation Builders

Australian Nation Builders is a series of twelve dramatized audio CDs that tell the story of some of the important people and significant events in Australia’s history.

The Australian Nation Builders narratives are each approximately 30 minutes in length, and are presented in child appropriate language that can be readily understood by middle and upper primary age students.

The Australian Nation Builders are centered on the lives and achievements of some remarkable people in Australian history. Rather than a catalogue of facts the characters are presented as “whole” human beings with strengths and weaknesses.

The Australian Nation Builders aim is to stimulate students to develop concepts, interests, values, feelings and action patterns essential for modern society.

The program assists in the development of student’s historical knowledge, understanding and skills to meet the requirements of the F-10 National History Curriculum for Australian schools at Year 5 and Year 6.
